Note, your section may only utilize a few of the record schedules listed in the entirety of the RAMP. Identifying these areas is an important step in familiarizing yourself with the resource.
1) Create an inventory of the records your section uses, based on what you've learned so far.
2) Organize them into 3 buckets
- Permanent - We can archive these
- Dispose - We can destroy these
- Classify - These are the ones we need.
3) Look at the records you've chosen to classify, and locate the corresponding schedule in the RAMP.
4) Organize your records based on your classification.
