This activity is jointly provided by the Utah Department of Health and Human Services: Office of Health Promotion and Prevention, and the Utah State Board of Education: Safe and Healthy Schools Program.
Utah Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Health Promotion and Prevention, Healthy Environments Active Living program is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Colorado Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
- 2.0 nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) credits are available for those completing the evaluation after the event if completed by February 28, 2024.
- Training may be done after February 28, 2024, but no NCPD credit will be available.
- Participants must attend 100% of each module this activity, complete the post-test with a score of 80% or greater, and complete the evaluation to receive credit.
- No one with the ability to control content of this activity has a relevant financial relationship with an ineligible company.
Expectation:
There is an expectation that you will complete each module in its entirety. You, as a registered nurse, are bound by a code of ethics, and will be expected to make truthful representation of your participation.
Outcome:
As a result of this activity, the learner will be able to implement this training on emotional and mental health of students to include recognizing signs and symptoms of a mental health crisis, alcohol and substance abuse, and be able to respond appropriately to student in a mental health crisis, including suicide.
