*Teacher Note* I found this awesome outdoors paper pack at Walmart Links to an external site. but any paper will work for the diorama. The animals/plants were just drawn on regular copy paper, but slightly stiffer paper might hold up the animals better. Make sure to leave a small rectangular tab along the bottom of each drawing so that it can be bent backward and be taped or glued down on the diorama. This will allow the animal/plant to "stand up" inside the diorama.
Now you get to make a model of what you've learned! These examples are called dioramas. Make a diorama of a Utah Environment. Try to choose a different environment then you did for the classroomscreen drawing. Include one animal, one plant, and two or more other details. For example.. a shelter, the sun, a water or food source. When your diorama is complete write or type a short informational sheet about your environment and animal. Here Links to an external site. is a blank template if you need it.
*Teacher Note* This google slide is editable, but students must have a google account to be able to access it. MAKE SURE STUDENTS CLICK "MAKE A COPY" when they are prompted or they won't be able to type on the slides. If your students don't have google accounts, you can download and print the slides for students to write on.
Take a selfie with your completed diorama and submit it by clicking the blue submit assignment button. Click here to see how to take a selfie!
