DoD Fresh Fruits and Vegetable Program Glossary
- Annual Catalog: How SFAs request the USDA foods that they would like to receive in the upcoming year. It must be completed each February for the following school year.
- DoD Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program: Also known as the "DoD Program." A program that allows SFAs to spend their PAL money on fresh produce that can be delivered weekly.
- Planned Assistance Level: The money given to each SFA that they can spend on USDA Foods.
- FFAVORS: Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Order Receipt System. The website used to order produce and track spending through the DoD Program.
- FDP: Food Distribution Program. This program may also be referred to as the USDA Food Program, or the Commodity Food Program.
- RA: Recipient Agency. This is the entity receiving the food (typically the SFA).
- SDA: State Distributing Agency (the state office).
- SFA: School Food Authority
- USDA Foods: Formerly known as commodities. Domestic agricultural products purchased by the USDA provided to schools to use in school meal programs.
