This final project will help you apply what you have learned throughout this unit. Choose one or more of the following questions to answer in detail in your project.

1. How has the US Constitution changed over time, and how have these changes impacted the rights and responsibilities of citizens of the United States?

2. Why is the Bill of Rights so important? And, identify how the rights of different groups have changed over time (e.g. women, enslaved people).

3. How does the Constitution impact your life today? Why is this important to you? (e.g. freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom to assemble peacefully, freedom to petition).

You may choose to present your thinking in the following ways.

 - Write a 5 paragraph essay presenting your ideas.  Make sure that it has been edited by at least two classmates, and is in final draft form.

 - Create a video presentation explaining your ideas. This needs to be presented in a creative manner, as a story with pictures and background narrative, as a commercial, newscast, documentary, opinion piece, Opt Ed, etc.  This should be at least 2 min in length.

 - Create a children's book of at least 10 pages, explaining what you have learned to younger children. The book needs to be illustrated and in final draft form.

 - Write a poem or song that best answers the question you choose. There needs to be at least 10 stanzas

 - Create a brochure for a Bill of Rights Museum. What might you see and learn in such a museum? Make sure you also answer the question you choose creatively in your brochure.

 - Create a blog post or an online opinion article that might be published on the anniversary of the signing of the constitution.  (At least 5 paragraphs)

 - Write a letter to George Washington or the founding fathers thanking them for the work they did on the constitution and how it helps or affects you and your family or other groups of people today.  (At least 5 paragraphs)
