Complete this project in groups of 2-4.

The Task

As a group, create a fictitious company built around a specific type of product (ex: sports apparel, energy drinks, long boards, flip flops, health supplement, sunglasses). With a budget of $50 million, create a plan and proposal to become the signature sponsor of 1 major sporting event (March Madness, Super Bowl, College Football Playoffs, NBA Finals, World Series). You will be competing against other teams in class to win that signature sponsorship for the event you select.

The Process

- Must create a name for your fictitious company

- Must create a logo

- Must determine your target market

- Must allocate how you will spend the $50 million ( ex: $30 million directly to event, $15 million in commercials, $5 million in signage)

- Must propose requirements that the event must uphold to avoid ambush marketing

- Must prove why your brand is good for the event

- Must include your plans to promote the event

- Must present to the class for a vote
