STEP 3: Will the vendor sign a new agreement in Utah?

If an agreement with the product is not on the USPA Applications Menu Links to an external site. and has yet to be established in Utah, the next step consists of signing into SDPC and searching the national registry. What is the likelihood of the product signing a new agreement in Utah. Click through below to see what to look for. 

SLIDE 2:

  • Search the NATIONAL database, by entering the product name in the search field. 
  • If the product is not listed, try different spellings of the product's name.
  • If you cannot find a record of the product in SDPC, the product can be added to the registry, and a new agreement will need to be established. Jump to Step 4.

  • If the product is listed, review which states already have established agreements. 
  • California, Texas, and the New England states are active participants in securing DPAs across the country.

  • What types of agreements have been agreed to? Explore the agreements for language and potential addendums. 
  • This is a good way to locate the vendor's privacy liaison. Their contact information will be located within the agreement.
