Before starting the DPA process, check if your application already has an agreement in Utah:

⚠️ STOP - Do Not Deploy

If your search returns no results, this means the product does NOT have an existing agreement in Utah.

  1. Your LEA must establish a new NDPA with the vendor before deployment
  2. Contact privacy@schools.utah.gov for guidance and templates
  3. Follow the 5-step DPA process outlined below
  4. Do NOT use the product until proper agreements are in place

Product Request

Initial assessment of the product's data needs and requirements.

Check Agreements

Search for existing agreements or badges in Utah's database.

Vendor Willingness

Determine if the vendor will sign a new agreement in Utah.

Send Agreements

Transmit appropriate agreements to vendors for review and signature.

Complete & Update

Finalize agreement and update your privacy registry.
